A lot of the fun comes when you are recognized by your peers

In October, 2003, Janet Elaine Smith was at the local BDalton Bookstore when a woman asked her if she knew a particular author. Janet replied "No," and then proceeded to hand her one of her own books off the shelf. The woman, when she recognized Janet as the author, bought not only that book, but another one as well.
When Janet told that story to the members of the NUW (Not the Usual Way) e-group, Joan Moore Lewis accused Janet of being a "brazen hussy."
Well, anybody who knows Janet knows that she doesn't take a challenge lightly. Out of that grew the e-group "Brazen Hussies/Book Biz" To learn more, or to join up, just click on the award, which was created by fellow Brazen Hussy Johanna Smith.
Sorry, but this time it is limited to just the gals. If you guys want to be a Brazen Hustler or Brazen Hissie, you will have to start your own group.

There are a lot of groups on the Internet. Some of them are informational, some are educational, some are for research. Then every once in awhile one comes along that is more than that; it is a family. I belong to four such groups. One of them is The Writers Life. I've even been appointed the "Ma" of the group. (My age, I'm sure, has nothing to do with it!) If you would like to be adopted into the family, just click on the image to the right and put in your application. We'd love to have more "kids."

Five years ago I argued with my hubby about getting a computer. Now he says I am addicted to it. What I have done on it I have learned by trial and error. To be awarded an honor for my website, which I did all by myself, is a great boost to my morale. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel like I have gone from "computer klutz" to "award-winning webmaster!"
